We have stayed at 3 different hotels on Kaanapali Beach and never been
disappointed. The beach has been voted the #1 beach in the U.S. on a
number of occasions. It is pristine with beautiful views of Molokai and
Lanai. During the late fall the waves are perfect for body surfing.
There is a wonderful beach walk that begins around the Hyatt Regency and
goes past the Royal Lahaina Hotel. It is perfect for long walks in the
morning or after dinner watching the sunset.
While snorkeling one afternoon south of the Royal Lahaina Hotel near the point, I almost ran into a giant sea turtle which cames inches away. There were also schools of Humuhumunukunukuapua'a which were absolutely gorgeous. This beach is incredible for it's beauty and attractions.
Love the whole hotel/condo area. Close to Lahaina and shopping areas.
Beautiful with all the Hawaiian flowers, and the landscaping is
fabulous! Beautiful sights of the island making a fantasy a reality as
one sits in an open aired restaurant munching on fresh fish and enjoying
a tasty cool cocktail. Really a touch of heaven!
The best part of this beach is the walking trail - a paved sidewalk for
about 2 miles on south side and about a mile on the north, before they
detoured us through parking lots. The walk runs along the beach, through
the pretty resorts. A little crowded, but could still walk for
exercise, and experience the resort life, even if you weren't staying
there. And take a swim at the end of your walk. You could spend the day
if you want, eating at the resorts, bringing your own picnic, whatever
you want. Nice to have it all so available to the public.
